The PokeClash Modified National Dex format offers a mix of vanilla Pokémon and the server's roster of Fakemon. In this section, you will find strategies created by some Balancers for Fakemon that follow similar rules and clauses of the Generation 9 National Dex format (see here: https://www.smogon.com/dex/sv/formats/national-dex/).

The PokeClash Modified National Dex is the Singles format.

The following rules, restrictions, and clauses are present in the PokeClash Modified National Dex format (as of August 5, 2025):

Play Restrictions

Species Clause: Player cannot have more than one Pokémon with any national dex number on a team.
- For example,
  - a player is not allowed to use Ninetales-Kantonian and Ninetales-Alolan on the same team.
  - However, a player can run Ninetales-Kantonian and Vulpix-Kantonian or Tentacruel and Toedscruel.
Endless Battle Clause: Players cannot intentionally prevent their opponent's Pokémon from fainting from PP depletion and Struggle recoil.
- This usually entails healing a struggling opponent with moves such as Heal Pulse. Stall is not an example of Endless Battle Clause, its just a really slow and passive strategy.
Sleep Clause Mod: Players can not induce sleep on more than one of the opponent's Pokémon at once.
- As this is hard to police in the current state of the mod and available plugins/add-ons, just don't try to sleep more than one opposing Pokémon intentionally. Different settings utilizing this ruleset will have different consequences for the suspicion of intentionally sleeping more than one opposing Pokémon at a time.
Evasion Clause: Moves that boost evasion like Minimize are banned.
OHKO Clause: Moves that solely OHKO the foe as their effect (such as Sheer Cold) are banned.
Terastal Clause: Players may not Terastalize.
