### Bulky Utility

Avalugg-Delta @ Heavy Duty Boots <img src="/files/UB4rLVnfAIfIX3MfAFcM" alt="" data-size="line"> / Rocky Helmet <img src="/files/3sDfJQKdYfu75GsSUK5B" alt="" data-size="line"> / Leftovers <img src="/files/4xI9QS2JYx63jtYmO2hJ" alt="" data-size="line">\
Ability: Solid Rock\
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpDef\
Impish / Relaxed Nature\
\- Stealth Rock\
\- Will O Wisp\
\- Stone Edge\
\- Slack Off

Avalugg-Delta is one of the most impressive physical walls available in the PokeClash server environment. A combination of high base HP, Def, the ability Solid Rock, a decent defensive typing, and Will-O-Wisp rends it impervious to most forms of physical damage. While on the field, it can inflict burn with Will-O-Wisp and set up Stealth Rocks for its team. While not a highlight, it can deal hefty damage with STAB Stone Edge, even with little to no investment.

Heavy-Duty Boots enables it to switch-in without getting worn down by hazards, allowing it to be a powerful and recurring physical check. Rocky Helmet it allows it to deal chip on most contact physical sweepers and wallbreakers. Leftovers allows it to edge in some cases that would be a guaranteed 2HKO into a roll.

### Sand Setter

Avalugg-Delta @ Smooth Rock <img src="/files/lEbyDC1TMl11UWXASKKC" alt="" data-size="line">\
Ability: Sand Stream\
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpDef\
Careful / Sassy Nature\
\- Slack Off\
\- Rapid Spin / Roar / Will-O-Wisp\
\- Stealth Rock\
\- Stone Edge

With its impressive physical bulk at base, setting up seven turns of sand with Smooth Rock to bolster its SpD and provide helpful chip. This also allows Avalugg-Delta to be a more potent mixed wall. This set also allows Avalugg-Delta to set up hazards and force switches with Roar, clear hazards for your team with Rapid Spin, or impede opposing physical attackers with Will-O-Wisp.

### Sand Setter (Rock)

Avalugg-Delta @ Smooth Rock <img src="/files/lEbyDC1TMl11UWXASKKC" alt="" data-size="line">\
Ability: Sand Stream\
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpDef\
Careful / Sassy Nature\
\- Slack Off\
\- Rapid Spin / Roar / Will-O-Wisp\
\- Stealth Rock\
\- Stone Edge

With its impressive physical bulk at base, setting up seven turns of sand with Smooth Rock bolsters its more lacking SpD in addition to boosting its Rock-type allies. Avalugg-Delta also goes neutral into Rock's typical weaknesses in Grass and Water, though, it doesn't have many tools to reliably use against them.

### Team Options

Avalugg-Delta apppreciates **Special walls** and Pokemon that **synergizes defensively with its type**. This includes:

* Celesteela
* Kamerog with Levitate

Avalugg-Delta also appreciates teammates that are **immune to statuses** it is liable to. This includes:

* Electric-types, Fire-types, Ground-types, Poison-types, and Steel-types
* Pokemon with Magic Bounce or Magic Guard
* Gliscor with Toxic Heal
* Guts Pokemon, such as Ursaluna

### Weaknesses

While incredibly bulky, it is liable to Taunt and status, most notably it can be easily worn down by Toxic and Burn. While terastalizing can improve its defensive typing and prevent such statuses, it is better reserved for other Pokemon of the team.

Avalugg-Delta has to watch out for potent SpA-focused wallbreakers in the National Dex metagame, such as Gholdengo and Tapu-Lele. Also, Avalugg-Delta has to watch out for common bulky status spreaders such as Pecharunt and Toxapex. Lastly, Avalugg-Delta has to most especially be wary of Tapu-Fini Whirlpool sets that can easily trap Avalugg-Delta and wear it down to death while setting up Calm Mind.
