Abilities
When a Pokémon with Sap Sipper is hit by a Grass-type move, its Attack is increased by one stage, and the move will have no effect on that Pokémon.
Stakeout doubles the power of moves used against targets that have switched in this turn.
When this Pokemon uses the move Phantom Proxy while in its Dormant Forme, it enters its Active Forme. While this Pokemon is in its Active Forme and uses a Status move (other than Phantom Proxy), it enters Dormant Forme.

Trevenant-Craftia employs a plethora of tools that allow it to work as an asset or breaker of Stall strategies. As an asset, Trevenant-Craftia's ability and formes allows it to linger in two vastly different speed tiers. This variability, also considering EVs in the mix, makes its speedcreeping nigh unpredictably. While the set suggests 168 Speed EVs as an option to stall Charizard-Mega-Y's turns of Sun the easiest, players may fine tune it to their liking. Alternatively, Trevenant-Craftia can also run 0 Speed EVs and no Phantom proxy to permanently remain in Dormant Forme to refuse the opponent all opportunities to nuke it. However, it becomes extremely vulnerable to Status while in this form without Phantom Proxy.
As a breaker of stall and against some more balanced and defensive teams, its typing keeps it weak to a singular type, grants it three immunities, and immunity to Prankster status moves. In addition, its signature move allows it to easily evade Status by placing a weak but priority increased Substitute before a faster opponent, which also switches it into its Active Forme. The speed in Active Forme easily allows it to resume it defensive bulk in Dormant Forme by casting a Status move before the opponent can attack to break the Substitute.
