Bowldozer is an amazing alternate option of a sand sweeper when compared to Excadrill for the sole reason of trading offensive presence for coverage and moves that Excadrill lacks. For example, Stone Edge gives Bowldozer a stronger rock coverage option that just allows it to hit somethings harder in general. This point is mimicked when using Flare Blitz or Low Kick as well with them providing superb coverage. Bowldozer also loves the amount of physical bulk that it has which allows it to set up rather easily especially in tandem with an Air Balloon and the added coverage allow Bowldozer to actually have a stronger offensive presence than Excadrill in some situations. Similar to Excadrill, Rapid Spin can be used to create progress for your team by calling out a switch and getting hazards off of your side. Spinning also allows Bowldozer to avoid some revenge killers that would threaten it once Sand ends.

Bowldozer's main weakness lies in the fact that it competes with Excadrill in every role, in some places it is better, in others its worse, so using Bowldozer becomes a balancing act of asking where it performs a role better than Excadrill and vice versa.
