### Tera Normal Boomburst Nuke

Berrock @ Choice Specs / Throat Spray\
Ability: Sand Force\
Tera Type: Normal\
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Def\
Modest/Quiet Nature\
(IVs: 0 Spe)\
\- Boomburst\
\- Shadow Ball\
\- Earth Power\
\- Hyper Voice / Focus Blast

Berrock makes use of Normal Tera type to negate Ghost type attacks it might be targeted with, as well as lose its Rock type weaknesses. The Normal Tera typing will also increases it's already significant damage to even greater heights with BoomBurst. Choice Specs allows the option of higher damage from the rest of Berrock's moveset whereas Throat Spray leans heavily into the playstyle of wanting to use Boomburst as it's main damage output. Due to Berrock's low speed stat, this moveset can also be used in a Trick Room setting, in which case a -Spe nature and 0 Speed IVs are a given.

### Defensive Pivot

Berrock @ Rocky Helmet\
Ability: Sturdy\
Tera Type: Fairy\
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD\
Bold Nature\
\- Body Press\
\- Stealth Rock\
\- Curse\
\- Shadow Sneak

With its impressive bulk, Berrock is a perfect defensive pivot. It's high natural defensive stat and access to Body Press gives it a good answer to facing common type matchups of Steel and Dark types. a Fairy Tera typing will help reduce the amount of weaknesses that Berrock naturally has as well. Shadow Sneak gives the ability of priority revenge kills, while Curse and Stealth Rock can help pressure the opponent.

### Team Options

* Berrock appreciates **Hazard Setters** as its bulk and pivot role often force switches, letting it rack up chip damage. Consider the following:
 * Glimmora
 * Ting-Lu
 * Ferrothorn
* Berrock appreciates **Wish support** or other forms of passive recovery, as it lacks reliable healing outside of Leftovers and Leech Seed if running it. Consider the following:
 * Wish users like Sylveon and Blissey
 * Leech Seed users like Ferrothorn
* As a grounded defensive pivot, Berrock appreciates **Hazard Control** to extend its longevity. Consider the following:
 * Defog users
 * Rapid Spin users

### Weaknesses

Despite Berrock’s impressive physical bulk and unique Ghost typing granting an immunity to Fighting, it is far from invincible. Its lack of reliable recovery makes it prone to being worn down over the course of a match, especially by chip damage from entry hazards, or repeated neutral hits. Status also heavily hampers its performance, with Toxic steadily breaking it down and burns from Scald or Will-O-Wisp cutting into its longevity.

Special attackers in particular pose a significant problem, as Berrock’s Special Defense is far weaker than its physical counterpart. Strong special wallbreakers such as Tapu Lele, Iron Moth, or Dragapult can overwhelm it quickly and prevent it from consistently performing its role. Additionally, its vulnerability to Dark- and Ghost-type moves means that Pokémon like Weavile, Gholdengo, or Chandelure can threaten it out if not checked by teammates. Even with its defensive strengths, Berrock often requires dedicated team support to stay effective throughout a battle.
